Department of Experimental Biology
The Department of Experimental Biology includes various laboratories and teams that provide teaching and scientific training to students of experimentally oriented biological disciplines at the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University.
Research at the Department focuses on the study of processes and phenomena related to the organization and functioning of living cells, tissues and organisms.
We are active in both basic and applied research
Our research at the Department of Experimental Biology icludes both basic and applied approaches to improve our understanding of human genetic and infectious diseases and to develop new biotechnological methods that can improve their diagnosis and treatment.
