Open days 2023
The Open days at Faculty of Science took place on 21st and 24th of January, both at Kotlářská and on the Bohunice campus. Lectures, booths and guided tours to the section facilities were organized for the applicants.
Our Department offers two undergraduate programs. The guarantor of the professioinally-oriented program in Medical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics is assoc. prof. Kuglík, and the guarantor of the academically-oriented program in Experimental and Molecular Biology is prof. Veselská. Both guarantors presented the programs through lectures, and particularly in the morning sessions, lecture halls were filled to capacity. On Saturday, an estimated 420 applicants visited the campus, followed by another 195 on Tuesday. Additionally, young students were often accompanied by their parents.
The Experimental and Molecular Biology program is divided into specialization since its first year, applicants choose their specialization during the application process. Therefore, we set up booths for all six specializations in the campus corridor to give applicants a better idea of the topics we cover. Some Sections also offered guided tours of their facilities.
